Our Crowns... Legalized!

The long lived debate of us being able to wear our hair in its natural state without getting written up, shamed or side-eyed has been challenged time and time again. We finally are beginning to see legal action towards banning this type of discrimination within the work place. Just a few days ago, The House of Representatives has officially passed The Crown Act 2020 (a bill that prohibits discrimination based on a person's hair texture or hairstyle if that style or texture is commonly associated with a particular race or national origin).

Within the black community, we have been going through so many ups and downs with the senseless murders of our black King and Queens that each little progressive win needs to be lifted and celebrated.

Grab you afro pick ladies and fluff your hair to the max for your natural state is being celebrated now more than ever! Next up... passing the Senate. Will are staying tuned.
