Ever since we watched the British television sitcom “Chewing Gum” created and written by Michaela Cole, we’ve been in love with her unique and striking look as well as incredibly undeniable talent. Her life story is even more compelling for she triumphs through her trauma of being drugged and raped through great storytelling in her work.

 


Her brilliant and latest masterpiece “I May Destroy You” has recently won her a more than deserving Emmy this past Sunday, September 19th. Even more award worthy was Michaela’s speech where she implored writers and creators to “write the tale that scares you.”. She dedicated the entire speech to all who had been sexually assaulted.

Michaela you are a real life HERO!
