According to the National Institutes of Health, "Copper is a mineral that you need to stay healthy. Your body uses copper to carry out many important functions, including making energy, connective tissues, and blood vessels. Copper also helps maintain the nervous and immune systems, and activates genes. Your body also needs copper for brain development." What a beautiful way our earth consistently pours back into us. Below are a few natural ways we can consume copper into our bodies through the every day foods we eat.

 

Various diets that includes healthy amounts of copper:

  1. Beef liver and shellfish such as oysters.
  2. Nuts (such as cashews), seeds (such as sesame and sunflower), and chocolate.
  3. Wheat-bran cereals and whole-grain products.
  4. Potatoes, mushrooms, avocados, chickpeas, and tofu.
